Ruq's engagement

My dear friend got engaged today.. One word to describe it - LOVELY. Lovely home, lovely people, lovely Ruqie (eh, the 'bunga' is bonus ok  ), lovely food! Everything went well, alhamdulillah. Can't wait for the big day this July (or izzit August?).
It has been years since I've stepped into Ruq's house and to hubs and my suprise, the house was simply amazing (compared to its structure and design before)! Salute to you Uncle for having such a good eye in designing the house 
Ruqie's mom.. friendly as ever. It was nice chit chatting with you. It was also nice to meet Ruqie's sisters although a bit unfortunate that the lil bro was not around to witness the event. Insya'allah, he'll be here for the wedding, yes Ruq? 
Location: Hospital Banting
Time: 4.30pm-6pm
On the way back home, received 2 sms from hubs relatives saying that his Wan had been admitted due to acute asthma. So, rushed home to pray and changed our clothes. Took the new KL-Putrajaya Highway and true to its slogan 'A Gateway That Provides A Direct, Free Flow and Convenient link between Kuala Lumpur, Putrajaya and KLIA'. It also happens to be the route hubs take daily to *ir*sia  . Most of hubs relatives were already at the hospital. Wan looked weary but happy that everyone came to visit. Knowing orang tua.. once they talk bout family, they become emotional  . Hubs keep saying to her 'Relax la Wan.' Heehee.. Hubs selalu borak with Wan macam Geng dia jer... I think it keeps her at ease

Considering that Amirul followed his Baba Tok and Mama Tok home, we made a detour to SA to pick him up. Had him and lil Harith take a bath and let A play with his cuz, Trisya since this 2 were inseparable whenever they meet. Also had dinner with FIL since MIL had to go out.
On the way back home, Mommy was craving for a Spciy Chicken McDeluxe (dah makan, nak makan lagi. How laa to kurus??  ) and so hubs obliged  and that made A very happy since he can have his dose of Fries .
Twas a full day but was glad that it was well spent with the whole family  * Altho hubs was too freakin' tired having to drive the whole day*

When Abah was away
|
|
Memandangkan Abah has left for H*, Mommy is left at home with Big A and Lil H. Didn't do much. Stayed at home and became very domesticated. Hubs mentioned that he would be very busy in the coming months and that I need to be prepared tending to the kids by myself (not that I'll be all alone - thanks to Mom & Dad). The boys will definitely miss their Abah especially Amirul since he's big enough to understand things happening around him. I only have to mention to him that Abah is at work and he'd be alright.
That night, Nenek was too tired to cook so we went out to KMK for dinner and I had the meanest Mee Bandung. Nyumms .
The next day, we followed Atuk & Nenek back to Melaka. This would be the first time my Atuk gets to see his latest cicit. I'm pretty excited to see his reaction .
Amirul did what he does best which was running around recklessly, chasing chicken, chasing cats, jumping up and down, playing with his Atuk etc....
Atuk was very happy to meet his cicit. Advising me to 'jaga zuriat' elok2. It was good to see Atuk all healthy and talking (we had a scare before when Atuk fell sick a few months back - mind you, he's 90+). He's taken cared of by my Aunt in his own home since he refused to stay with any of his children. My uncle proposed that he stays with him in KL but he didn't want to leave his house unattended. Said it has sentimental value. I can understand that but I think he'll be better of staying with my uncle. Oh well, orang tua ni susah sikit nak pujuk.
Left kampung around 5pm and luckily it didn't rain heavily (knowing that KL is famous for its heavy downpour).

Ushering in the NEW YEAR

HAPPY 2008
Promised Amirul that we would take him out to see fireworks.
Left lil Harith at home since it'd be too late in the night and very noisy.
Had dinner at Chilli's Mid Valley.
Drove off to OU to witness the fireworks.
Amirul was pretty scared and hugged Mommy throughout the whole thing

Out and About
|
|
Since hubs will be leaving for a business trip in a few days, Mommy decided that we bring the boys out for lunch at Ikea and just hangout and shop a bit. So we left home close to 2pm thinking that there will be less car on the road (considering that ppl will be out of the city for NY celebration) but the traffic at Ikano was soo bad. Getting into the parking bay in The Curve was already bad... we had to endure for 30 minutes trying to look for a parking space. We searched high and low but no one seemed to want to leave! So we waited and waited. Lil H pulak thought it would be a good idea to relieve himself in the car so rather than him having to wait to be changed in a proper nursery (H was already screaming at this point of time) , I quickly changed his nappy there and then (yes, done this soo many times before)
What seemed like ETERNITY, hubs decided to be a bit kiasu and simply neglect all arrows, and incoming cars  . FINALLY, we saw an empty space (not even a parking bay) and scurried to it. Dah lah lapar, we practically 'flew' to Ikea for some salmon and meatballs
After lunch, we walked around a bit and then went to The Curve. Shopped in Papier for some scrapbooking stuff (need to finish up Dad's birthday pressie) - which I lurve. While Mommy was shopping away, hubs and the boys made themselves at home in the shop (sheesh); with Amirul dragging the toys provided all over the place (much to the amusement of them girls in the shop).
For dinner, we hopped to OU but knowing us, we couldn't make up our minds on where we should eat. So, Mommy told Abah to think of something while Mommy go shopping. Hoohoo! Got myself some tops from Pr*m*d. By this time, mes garcons were sleeping snugly in their strollers so we chose Nandos (cause dah dekat) for dinner. Makan makan makan... the boys tak bangun2 so we had a very peaceful dinner (which we hadn't had for a very long time  )
Got back close to 9pm. Bathed and changed the boys. Mommy fed lil H and put him to sleep while Abah 'helped' Amirul to finish up his dinner. Mommy was contented that her shopping list was covered and that the Zefferins get to spend some quality time together

Iman's 1st birthday party
|
|
It was a JUNGLE AFFAIR in Shah Alam on Christmas day. We were invited by an old school friend whom I've not met in years (only through FP) for her son's 1st birthday party (Happy birthday sweetie!)
We were dressed in red, blue and white (as requested by the host and hostess) and we definitely enjoyed the food (erm.. judging by the no of plates we had on OUR table - malunyer  ). Amirul pulak had fun running around and messing with mommy's head when he sneakily run off to the edge of the lawn out back! EEEESHH!
Thanks Azurin for the invite. It was definitely a suprise and also the fact that we found out about each other through your sister (CONGRATS again!)
Finally I meet you in person Muna. Yes lar,I think we've met before (zaman2 pinafore lagi). It was nice chatting with you. Suprisingly we've got a lot of mutual friends . Nice to see some of the FP mommies. Alin, sorry tak dapat nak borak. I ni kelam kabuts sikit. Mebi we'll meet again in other events
Again lil man, Iman... Happy 1st birthday . I hope you like the pressie we gave you...

Selamat Hari Raya Aidil Adha

Same ol same ol.. Nothing much happened on this auspicious day. Everyone went to the mosque for Raya prayers except for lil Harith and mommy. So, I managed to squeeze in 2 loads of washing and do some housekeeping. At the same time, bathed H and fed him. Multi tasking is my middle name bebeh! .
Pheew.. Then had brekkie with my boys. My parents, as usual were preparing to go to the mosque for the Qurban session. Last year we brought Amirul to the mosque to witness the Qurban so that he would understand and appreciate the true meaning of Hari Raya Qurban. However this year, we skipped it since we have H and we wanted to spend more time in SA.
Close to noon, we drove off to SA. My MIL makes the meanest daging manis. It's a family recipe (so I'm told). It's also my hubby's favourite. I see myself making it many times to meet hubs demands once we live in our own crib . No problemo b!
Stayed over till late evening since everyone just zonked out (due to full tummies  ) on the bed.

My darling Harith has turned 2 months and thought of posting this adorable pic of him tengah mandi..Hihi.
Compared to the Abang (at this point of time), he puts on more weight (5.1kg) since he's a master at bf and less fussy.
However, he does share his brother's face gestures (like pouting the lips and shaping it like an 'O') and the tembam cheeks.
We love you lil boo!!

Something fun for the kids and mommy
|
|
Spent the day at Sunway Lagoon since I was due to go back to work in 2 days (errk!) and Amirul just loves to swim (simply put- playing with water!). More of this on my blog.
We had a fantabulous time, especially Amirul. Lil Harith had fun too... sleeping most of the time in his stroller .
It was also a good bonding time for hubs and Amirul since he will be pretty busy in the coming months.. Eventhough I hate the fact that he won't have much time to spend with us, I'm sure it's for the betterment of our future. I just hope he'll be 'less' busy by the time we move in to our new home early next year...
