Off with the hair!

In conjunction with my dad's 69th birthday, we had Harith's hair chopped off. Also, the Ustazah whom helped with the 'cukur' mentioned that the day of 'cukur' should be on an odd numbered day. Harith was a trooper. He didn't meragam. We only stopped twice for his milking session and diaper change 
P/S: HAPPY BIRTHDAY ABAH. We shall celebrate once I'm done with my pantang...  .

Harith-5th day
|
|
Harith had a follow up checkup with the paed and a hearing screening test in SJMC. This marked his first outing after his delivery.
The paed tested him for jaundice and true enough, he had it but it wasn't serious so need not be admitted. Alhamdulillah. He was feeding well and was exposed to the sun (not directly) so I suppose the jaundice would run its course and Harith would be free from it soon enough. Insyaallah

Checked out from SJMC around 1 ish. Hubs and Amirul (handsomely dressed in their purple baju melayus) picked us up while Amri tagged along to help us with our stuff. The rest of the family were ber'raya'ing in Grandma's place in SS14 (the usual raya hangout) so they would only meet us back at home.
Wanted to circumsize Harith before we left but the Dr was on Raya leave so we have to postpone till next week. Considering that, hubs and I decided to bring Harith to DSH so that Dr Razak (he had it done for Amirul) could perform the procedure later next week.
Mom had Amri's room 'revamped' for us to stay in so I only have to bear with the new living arrangements till pantang session ends. Boo hoo..
Harith quickly adapted to his surroundings.. unlike Amirul 2 years ago as he wailed actively at night on the day we moved back to the house. I guess he was just uncomfortable .
Alhamdulillah the 'transition' went well and Amirul just adores his baby brother. Insya'allah I hope they will have an unbreakable relationship

Welcome baby Harith
|

What a great Raya gift for us the Zefferins when our latest bub decided to come into the world on the eve of Raya (12/10/07 @ 6.32am in SJMC) Alhamdulillah, labour was short and quick. Arrived at the hospital at 5am and baby popped out 1 1/2 hour later.. The contractions hit me like a tonne of bricks but being the 'superwoman' I am, they were bearable. Went au naturel.. only had the gas towards the end and I was so grateful that hubby was by my side ALL the time. Cian dia... he only had McDs for sahur and I remembered I kept asking him whether it was enough to keep him full through the day  . He was more concern of me than the urge to fill up his tummy. Thanks boo (Alhamdulillah jugak that he didn't have to travel anywhere). And sorry boo bout your hand ... as the pain became unbearable, I dug deep into his hand for 'comfort'. Dahlah my nails were really long (tak sempat nak potong)  .
Although we could not celebrate Raya like everyone else, we are happy of the blessings and the gift as it means so much more this Raya . Amirul is particularly in 'love' with his lil bro as he kept kissing Adik Harith all the time! I believe he can't wait to play footie with his Adik.. Heheh.
Welcome to the world Fizan Harith Ariffin. You are a blessing and Abah and Mommy promise you that we will love you and care for you to the best we can as how we have vowed the same to your big brother.. Insyaallah

A Chili's Iftar
|
|
The Zefferins had a last minute change of plans on the venue for Iftar. Finally we decided to have it in Chili's Mid Valley together with SIL's family. Amirul adores his cousins (dahlah dia the only boy) but once dah jumpa...ya Allah... riuh sekampung!!
Thank God, we were able to book a table and so we waited for the other family to arrive. Looking at the menu..mmmm meleleh air liur. Ordered the usual for myself and hubs had a change of heart so he opted for something more filling.
SIL arrived... azan Maghrib pun tiba... apalagi, nyum...nyum. Food was fab, company was good, kids, well.. they were okaylah.. behavelah jugak.
Heehee.. tengah sarat2 ni pun people must think I'm mad going around. Well, I know what's ahead of me. At least I want to take advantage of the things that I can still do or eat now knowing that I'd be CONFINED in the next few weeks or days. Haiyo... Mind you, I'm not a pantang freak but what is good for me, I'll follow.

1st night of Terawih prayers

Ramadhan... Been looking forward to this holy month all year.. Also for the fact that I'll be heavily pregnant and will be attempting to fast up till my delivery. Insya'allah
Abah and Mommy were pretty excited to bring Amirul to the mosque for his first Terawih prayer. Mommy dressed him in his jubah and donned him his kopiah. My very own Pak Lebai
He was very obedient. Sat next to Mommy throughout it all with the occassional ruku's and sujuds following the rest of the jemaah . Mommy sembahyang 8 je cos tak larat .
Have a blessed Ramadhan to all and may all our amalan in this auspicious month diterima olehNya.. Amin

Fireworks!

Happy 50th Merdeka to all! Amirul loves it when I talk about fireworks and we were going to watch some later that night. So, the Zefferins went out for dinner at OU (wanted to have a go at Carl's Jr but we were late for a movie so we settled for Secret Recipe ) Watched Invasion (oklah) and drove out from OU. Abah decided to watch the fireworks from across the road, opposite to the Ikano entrance (the main road). So we waited for about 15 min in the car.
Exactly 12am, we scrambled out of the car to get a better view of the fireworks. For all we know, Amirul was scared. Takut of the loud sound of the fireworks. So Mommy had to dukung him throughout the whole 'ordeal' . Once in awhile he would catch a glimpse of them bright lights in the sky and then quickly smother his face back into me when his 'takut'ness kicked in .
The fireworks went on for about 15 mins  . Habis-habis jer, got into the car and Amirul looked at me - Amirul nak n*n*n. Aiyooo, terpaksalah obliged. Not even 10 mins, Amirul dah sound asleep .
Dropped by McD for some ice lemon tea and ice cream therapy cos Abah and Mommy couldn't keep our eyes open no more  . Reached home before 2am... performed oour usual bedtime routine and zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz. Goodnight Malaysia and Happy birthday
