3rd Anniversary Dinner

Alhamdulillah, we made it to our 3rd year. Funny how time flies. Syukur, for all Your blessings. We are grateful for the 'gift' You gave us 2 years ago and another, insya'allah coming soon (will it be a Ramadhan or Syawal gift?  ).
Had dinner @ Chilli's and had my favourite pasta, hubs with yummy steak and Amirul gobbled down on his Mac & Cheese  . As usual the lil man loved to play peekaboo with other patrons. However, he did behave himself. Thank God.
Thank you boo for being my source and inspiration for all these years.

Playdate with Shamel Harith

It has been awhile since I've met my dear friends in Uni. Made a date for a get together at Emmy's house in Putrajaya. Met up with Sarin and Zuri  . Hubs couldn't make it since he was away.
It was the 2nd time (1st being @ Jacob's wedding) Amirul met Shamel. Shamel is older by 3 months and very d handsome . The boys had fun playing while the ladies had their gossip session after lunch. Mmm, the men occupied themselves by smoking and watching TV. Typicallah!
After spending a few hrs in Emmy's lovely home, we decided to bring the tykes to the club's swimming pool. See, the first time we brought Amirul to a public swimming pool, he wailed like it was nobody's business! I guess the water was too cold or the place was just too crowded with ppl. Even so, we did spent a few hours in the pool, be it big and small.
Neways, this time around, he couldn't wait to jump in in the pool. So was Shamel. Siap bawak his pails and animal toys...Teehee..How cute!
Seronok tengok the boys play in the water.. The problem came when we told them that it was time to leave. Dua dua jerit 'A-nak! a-nak' (as in tak nak). Pujuk punya pujuk, Amirul gave in and was more interested to go under the shower to wash himself. Emmy on the other had, had a handful with Shamel. Heehee.. He didn't wanna leave! Started screaming and crying...Ciannya  . Normal lah kids. When they enjoy sumthin and suddenly they have to stop doing it, apalagi.. rebel lah diorang. Been there with Amirul so I understand what Emmy was going through. Dried the kids and off we went to our cars and parted our ways.
On the way home pulak, Amirul didn't want to seat in his car seat so I had to pujuk him with ice cream. Stop at the gas station and got him the big cornetto (hoping there was a mini but was out of stock). Eventually, he agreed to seat in his chair and sat quietly munching on his 'I-pim' (ice cream lah). Tup..tup... before we got on the NPE, he fell asleep while holding the almost finished ice cream in his hand. Ayoyo, his mouth was slobbered with ice cream and his t-shirt...tak yah citerlah. At the traffic light, took out the wipes and wiped him clean  . pheeeww...
It was a nice mommy and son day out but I would be happier if his Abah came along as I don't have to do the carrying and running after Amirul ..
*Thanks Emmy for the hospitality. One day, we'll come back and invade your house kay???

This is a backdated entry...Been quite busy...
It was Azriel's Qeqah at his parents comfy home at Nusa Putra, Puchong. We had a problem with our camera as the flash was out. So, the pics looked very hazy and blurrish. Neways, it was a lovely ceremony. Very the Green! My cousin looked great and tak serupa mak budak pun . Mind you, she has a 3 year old girl, Myra and Azriel was just (at the time), 3 months ++. Jeles!!
Took pics of our their home since they just moved in a few months back and it was the exact replica of our crib in Nusa Rhu... . Hehehe...konon cari ideas .
Said our goodbyes around noon and left for home. Food was good since all of us kaput once we got home!
** If you've read my blog about when Amirul's hair got chopped off  , I've inserted a pic of him with that hideous cut (which made him look like a girl).. courtesy of M**. We had improvised at Cut N Above the next day and it looks much better now  . Thank God

Today is the day we, the Zefferins celebrate our precious Amirul's, 2nd birthday. Mommy especially woke up early to see to the necessary arrangements. Also to prepare the icing for the cuppies. Cuppies were baked the night before and alhamdulillah all the batches turned out fine . Amirul and Abah were still sound asleep as they slept late last nite with Amirul terover excited  with his coming party and Abah who had to work till wee hours of the morning (sokey, for our future jugak kan?) .
After the Big Man and the Small Man woke up, prepared their brekkie and continued with the preparations. My mom was busy at the living room with my sis and bro was helping Dad with the tables. Hubs left us for awhile to get the food from MIL and other ordered deserts. Bro then went off to pick up the birthday cake (Sedap giler Cheeze Choc and the cake was amazing). Called up the caterer to make sure that everything is well under way.. Mmm, busy morning it was!
Got Amirul to take his shower and told him to lepak with his Atuk. The balloons came and Amirul, as always was sooo happy.. nak terus main .
Yey! Finished decorating the cuppies... ensured all other arrangements were taken cared of and t'was time to change into our blue outfits!  . Got the ala ala hawaiian shirt for birthday boy in Langkawi .
Caterer came and made me let out a big sigh (well, they were a bit late laa from schedule but it's all good). However, at that point of time, it was pouring and I just hope the guests wouldn't have trouble coming   .
Thanks to my immediate and extended family for all the help (in watsoever form lah). The party was a joyful one.  For all guests that came, we appreciate your time and your kind pressies and warm wishes  . Hopefully we get to meet again for future events, yah?

As I was coming out of the shower, Amirul got up from his slumber..
Amirul : Mandi?
Mommy : Yes, mommy baru habis mandi.
Amirul : Abah?
Mommy : Abah has gone to work.
Amirul : Atuk? Nenek?
Mommy : Kat dapur sayang...
After a few goleks on the bed, a few sips from his water bottle,
Amirul : Nak keluar.
Mommy : Ok, but let Mommy finish up here first.
I immediately sang Happy Birthday to him
Amirul : *Smiling*...
Mommy : *Planted a big kiss on his cheeks*
To our baby Amirul,
Abah and Mommy wish you a very happy 2nd birthday.
We pray that you become a devout Muslim, anak yang soleh, and a leader when you grow up.
For now, jangan notti2, enjoy your kiddy life and may you become the best Abang for your future Adik(s)..

Langkawi trip 29/6-1/7 (Fri)

A cuti-cuti event I coaxed my hubby into going before the arrival of our latest addition. A break both of us needed after a lot of hard work and exams. A fun time for us to share some quality time with Amirul too. T'was his 2nd plane ride .
We picked Awana Porto Malai as our abode for the weekend and I loved the fact that the hotel was situated next to the ocean  .
The last time I was in Langkawi was erm..5 years ago (I think) and how developed it has become. Very much a tourist place though but was not an eye sore. I've always been fascinated of the Mahsuri legend and couldn't wait to check out the sights especially the Langkawi Cable Car .
So, we reached Langkawi close to 10pm due to our plane being delayed  . Got into our rented car and off we drove to the hotel. After checking in, we headed out back to the streets hunting for food. Stopped at Rest. Haji Ramli (thank god they haven't closed down yet) for supper. Food was sedaap:horay: .
Right after, hurried back to Porto for a good night's sleep

We haven't had a proper birthday fiesta for Abah dearest with his family. So right after my monthly checkup with Dr Delila @ SJMC, we headed straight to Taipan for the celebration.
First things first. My checkup went on smoothly. Only 23 weeks preggie and my bump is already big  ! I mean, compared to my first born, Amirul, my bump only started to show after being 6 months pregnant. This time around, even before going into my 4th month, my tummy dah show. Huuhuu. One bad thing about going for checkups is the wait.. It's the normal 2 hour wait every month. Naah, I'm not complaining..
Got to hear my baby's heartbeat (Amirul pun ter'excited'). Dr Delaila did a thorough checkup this time. Explaining bout the baby's brain, backbone etc. Alhamdulillah everything is A-okay . We confirmed the sex of the baby (yet again) and to those close to me.. yes, it's confirmed! . Okaylah, I think should ramble more on my pregnancy in my blog.
So....off we went for the birthday lunch and everyone was there except for bro in law. Amirul gets pretty hyped whenever he meets his cousins... Dahlah he's the only grandson, semua dapat..sheesh!
Had my usual-T Bone steak well done with watermelon juice. Mmmm, kenyang. Initially our plan was to jalan2 in Subang Parade but we received the lunch invitation from Babah while we were waiting for my checkup... All is well, perut sudah kenyang...apalagi, right after we went shopping
