Birthday dinner @ Amarin (Part Un)

Alaa mommy, cannot tahan lei

It was a cosy birthday dinner for Mom/Mak with the rest of the Rahim entourage (bro couldn't make it as he was flying back home from Bangkok )
We, the Zefferins made a special birthday gift for dear Mak - sort of a collage of her and her dearest cucu. Made a visit to Papier and invested in some cool stuff. Lovely materials they have there . Might consider taking up scrapbooking classes (not that i have the time ).
By the end of our meal, we were completely satisfied and it was time to part. Since the Zefferins came by ourselves, hubs and I decided to part back to 249 first. Knowing that, Amirul ran off to his Atuk and mintak dukung. So apalagi, hubs and I 'melarikan diri' to the parking lot and let dear Atuk and Nek layan their cucu
HAPPY BIRTHDAY MAK and we pray that both you and Abah panjang umur... With love, the Zefferins

Heyo Mrika... Hehe. You have been sorta 'inspiration' of my minat into scrapbooking but still in the 'camna nak buat ni??' stage . Itu pun actually we did it last minute (which is so typical of me). Thank God Mom loved the end of product. I think scrapbooking is a great gift if one is on a budget (which we were ) but it did give us satisfaction knowing that we did it ourselves and it did look pretty good, ay *snigger*
Hey, I think each of your scrapbooking thingy are meaningful what with the quotes and cleverly placed designs. I don't think I can do that
How's your darling nephew?

'Inspiration' of sorts? Hehehe... aaawww... nice to hear. And you're right about the good gift if on a budget. And personal touch too, which is always great kan?

Nway... my darling nephew? Err... which one? I've 3 nephews now!

Bangkok trip

At LCCT before departure
His 1st airplane ride
@ d First Hotel for breakfast with nek & nek busu

I loved this trip minus the fact that hubs didn't get to tag along but because I get to spend mommy & son quality time . Plus, it was Amirul's first plane ride and he was oh sooo excited. Lotsa oohs and aaahs everytime he jenguk outside of the window and sees the planes. But he was a handful on the plane. I was sitting with mom on the left side while my sis (his lovable Mak Long) and my aunt sat on the opposite side. Once the plane took off, mulalah nak jalan2. Climbed on the seats, running off to his aunt and played cak! with us. Pandai pulak cari mommy for a 'milk session' masa nak landing .
We spent alot of time SHOPPING and EATING in BKK. I particularly loved Chatuchak Market for the home stuff that you can bargain your ass off ! Which is good for my new lovely crib that my hubs and I hope to move in right before the 'bun' pops out
Thank goodness for my 3 'bodyguards', so to speak that never failed to help 'jaga' Amirul when he was in his hyperactive moods

Mrika.. a very good trip! Amirul was a handful. Good thing had his nenek, aunt and nek su watching over him as well. Shopping was undoubtedly the best part .
Wonder when my next trip will be??

Dubai trip

Night before the trip
On the way to the site office - Al Fattan site
Part of Dubai-beautiful flowers
View all 29 photos...
Amazingly , after only being in my new job for barely 3 months, I was given the opportunity to travel to Dubai for a business assignment along with another colleague. I was elated, definitely but a part of me was quite reluctant.. you've guessed it, this meant that I had to leave both my 'babies' back home. But I had to do it. As much as it would break me .. it's for the best. Besides, sekejap jer.
Left for Dubai on Sunday. Flight was around 6-ish am. Left home (Bangsar) bout 4.30am with Amirul in tow. As if he knows mommy would be away for a really long time. Thank God he didn't make any scene as I left him at the gate with his daddy. Such a big boy . I sorta welled up as I waved them goodbye.. Ayoo, so sad.
Landed about 10-ish am and off we go-straight to work. Mind you, they work on Sundays and their off days are Fridays and Saturdays. Oh, on Fridays, all the shops open after 4pm to honour the Friday prayers.
Anyways, it was a fulfilling trip. Managed to get lotsa work done. Met with friendly people. Ate amazing food... I especially love the architectural designs of the skyscrapers in Dubai. Breathtaking and you just wonder how they manage to build them in ways you can't even imagine. (Ye laa, I myself work in a construction company and yet their buildings amazes me!)
Tho how bz we were with work, we managed to squeeze in some shopping. Bought lotsa stuff for Amirul (as usual), for boo, family and friends. Lotsa small stuff for our new home nanti.
Reached KLIA on Saturday morning. Auuw, to look at my son's innocent face as I walked out of arrivals was definitely the highlight of the day . Oh not forgetting hubby whom I missed terribly . Sempat breakfast @ McD and showed Amirul some of his pressies.
I would definitely love to go to Dubai again. Only this time, with darling family and at the time of its annual sale (we just missed the sale when we got there ). Oh, and to go on the night safari

U missed the sale eh? Yelah, sale abis 2nd Feb aritu...Next time u kena datang lagi bawak the whole family time sale awal tahun. Nanti on 2010 Dubai ada buat theme park yg lagi besar dari Walt Disney kat Florida! Can bawak ur anak pergi jln2... Eh I pun belum sampai lagi kat Global Village tau! Thu 12-Jul-2007 05:26

Yaa..mesti2. By then Amirul dah besar and mesti seronots main2 at the theme park.
Ok..mesti kumpul $$$ from now...
Global Village kira ok lah...thanks to our 'guide-Hameed' yg sanggup bwk us all the way. Tapi masa tu I tak berapa sihat so I was shivering the whole night. Tu yang ada one pic tu I berselubung dgn sweater and pashmina.. But still sejuk. Org lain ilek je...

Ex Deloitte gathering

Had a gathering with my batch mates in Coca Bangsar. Organised by yours truly (I seem to always be the organiser of this kind of stuff). Not all of us made it due to work and family commitments. These guys are sporting enough to spend a few hours to catch up for old time sake. Out of the 12 of us, only 1 still has the guts to stay in Deloitte. The rest have moved on to either other Big Four or to the commercial industry. We try to meet up on special occassions (this time it was sort of a farewell dinner for Chiam who has left for Singapore to seek greener pasture. And he is doing great there). Food was good . Amirul was an angel . In a nutshell, we all had fun that night lah

PECD Team Building @ Lenggeng

The first night into the programme

My group making a presentation

Thought of sharing some pictures of this thingy I went to - the weekend I started my new job. Just had a meeting with my boss when the secretary told me that I have to go to a team building program on Friday. Mind you, it was a Wednesday. Gush of emotions went through me like bricks. One, I was pretty angry cause it was a short notice and I needed more than 2 days to prepare. Two, I was very sad cause I had never left my baby behind for a long period of time... Plus, he was still nursing. Had to start pumping for supply lor (Lucky I had no problem with that)
So, I prepared hubby with everything. Gave him a list of To Do's and What Not To Do. Gave him instructions on how to soothe Amirul if he were distrssed - trying to find me.
Friday came and off i went to Lenggeng with a bunch of other co workers. Felt pretty sad in the bus thinking of dear Amirul. Little that I know that the experience I was about to go through would be so much fun! Steered my constant thoughts of Amirul and hubby back home cleverly.
My team mates were great, the whole group that underwent the programme was phenomenal, the motivator was amazing (highly recommended) and the location itself was, should I say breathtaking, as scenery was concerned.
Managed to call back home every night to get daily reports from hubby. Suprisingly, Amirul was a well behaved boy on those 4 days I was not at home. Kept asking hubby whether did Amirul missed his mommy.
To cut story short, I had a great time in Lenggeng. . But I'm sure glad to be back home with hubby and bub.

Akum & salam perkenalan. Stumbled upon your site, just to say hi.

2nd Raya for the lil lad . It was a great one. Bought him an adorable blue baju melayu. Kamceng with his Abah. Loved to see him walk around in his outfit. No samping tho. No size . Will work on that one next year.
Celebrated 1st at Shah Alam with his Baba Tok and Mama Tok. Then off to PJ where Nek Yang resides. Had a blast there. The Rahim family was there, of course. A few hours later, a quick dash to 249 Bangsar to pack our stuff to go back to to Melaka and see the rest of the Haron clan .
Raya 2006 was memorable. Insyaallah, kalau ada rezeki, we'll add another bub in the Zefferin family . Twice the Raya celebration....

Had a craving for pizza so we decided to fill up our tummies at Fasta Pasta, Ikano. Loved the Pizza Rimini (I think). Later,we strolled down to Ikea to feast our eyes on their new collection. Close to midnight, we witnessed the fireworks outside of Ikano (tepi jalan actually) much to the dismay of my lil Amirul. He was not at all pleased with the bunyi bising but managed to enjoy the colours in the sky before dozing off on Abah's shoulder .
